OUR TRACK RECORD
A charted bank had over 1000 forms for entering information collected on a variety of business needs. The problem was the amount of time it took to create and/or update these forms.
Through a process model we developed we were able to identify each and every aspect of a form from initial request to release. This process when applied to a time/cost analysis identified significant areas for change.
The process model was turned over to the banking team along with a future state model that demonstrated how a $36k process could be reduced to a $5K process. Other gains would be in utilizing staff resources in other areas as a result of them being freed up by automated processes.
An international aggregates organization was having difficulties matching load haulage to number of loads claimed by contract hauler at one of their locations in Alberta
The contract hauler was on a honor system and some of the operators were padding the number of daily loads
Designed, installed and implemented a Radio Frequency Identification “RFID” solution. Entire cost of the project was recovered in the first 3 months of operation
A large heavy equipment rental company needed to update their equipment rental software to work more in line with their specific requirements
The equipment rental head had researched several of the shelf options but each one only did parts of what they required but fell short of providing them with a complete solution.
Our team worked with the rental head and developed a complete software solution that reduced paper records, rental processing time, more accurate accounting and quicker receivable time lines. Also because of the increased efficiency they were able to re-allocate staff to other departments.
Oil and Gas
A small sized oil company wanted a less costly flow production solution. One of the requirements was that it be user-friendly to those with a lesser education.
By working through all level of staff and discovering their specific requirements it was learned that much of the manual processes could in fact be written into a software solution. In addition to this the opportunity for this to be done remotely was of significant interest to the ownership.
By moving the large paper based ledgers to an electronic and wireless solution not only speeded up the process of getting daily data to the head office much quicker, the data was more accurate, consistent and legible. Also as many of the manual tasks were now part of the software the field staff only had to enter a very small amount of data and dramatically reduced their office time
